Long Valley Cafe in Happy Jack

Horrible experience. We were the only people eating. The food portions were fair on one plate, less than half on another, several of us had cold food items. The gravy on my biscuits had odd sized chunks of sausage. Overall, I would blame the cook. Server was nice. Definitely not like it was in the past. I will not be returning.

Only restaurant for miles, good food and good people, I recamend it...

I never have had a bad meal here. Owners and staff are always working hard to serve a busy crowd. wait times are sometimes long, but that is a good sign that it is popular.

Tall pines cafe recently opened. Ate there twice the food was good the menu is very limited.The portion could be bigger more fry's with your burger, more hash browns with breakfast. Both times I was there only one waitress on the floor they need more help.

This is a great place for breakfast and lunch. I had the chicken fried steak that was over the top. Hunters love this place!

this place rocks. friendly, down home feel, everyone knows each other there, the owner told us about the history of the place and answered questions. just awesome.

Food was lovely. I had heuvos rancheros which was delicious. The server was lovely. Everything was clean. I would recommend.

Food was ok. Customer service sucked! Grumpy waitress, not very attentive. I waited at the register to pay for at least 5 minutes while she continued to write on the daily specials board. She was well aware I was standing there waiting. Will not be returning ever.

It's cheap diner food, nothing great. Pancakes after massive, like whoa. Could be cleaner but so far I haven't contracted e coli so we're good.

They have taxidermy and pancakes. What else do you want.

We use to eat at Long Valley Cafe a lot. They had the best Ham and Cheese omelette and other great breakfast items. Best Burgers also for Lunch!! Now they have new ownership. Place is called Tall Pines Cafe No omeletts at all on menu. Menu was limited selections. I get it, want to start small. It was a Saturday morning. There was a group of 8 on patio and 4 other couples when we arrived. No one was eating. We waited over an hour for food. Waiteress would bring out of the kitchen 1-2 plates of food. I don’t think the kitchen could cook more than one plate at a time....my hubby ordered scrambled Eggs, bacon, hash brown crispy, toast. I had eggs over medium, bacon, crispy hash brown, wheat toast. Scramble eggs burnt, medium eggs very running, snotty egg whites, bacon burnt, hash browns almost cooked. Asked for extra butter and got a plate....yeah we could have said something but didn’t want to wait another hour for food. Soooo sadly to say probably will plan trips to eat somewhere else.

I ordered a fried chicken sandwich and they brought me a chicken fried steak sandwich. I asked the waitress if they accidentally brought me the steak she insisted that that’s what their chicken looks like but she can bring me something new if I don’t like it, I told her I’d eat it if it was chicken, and sure enough it was steak when I bit into it. She didn’t even look at my food before telling me that it definitely was the fried chicken. By the time she came back everyone was done eating and I didn’t want to make everyone wait for them to make me a new meal. Probably won’t be back.

No-nonsense diner. Only place for miles around. Fast and friendly service. Coffee was pretty close to just hot water.

Quite beautiful so very relaxing so much to see hard trail for older people and I wouldn't take kids loved it

What a great little place the country store called happyjack stop and get it .

This is a pleasant place to stop for a meal. The staff is friendly. The food is nothing fancy, but for a sandwich, good burger or slice of meatloaf, it's a welcome find. We've eaten there several times.They have a gas station and general store for basic items.

For the only stop around , it's not bad.

I always stop here on my way from payson to Winslow and I have always enjoyed the food. Sometimes the waitress can be a little on the grumpy side but that’s okay ☺️ it’s a cute little restaurant in the middle of the woods and the food is good!!

Reopen last week, New owners areTracey and Vicky.One and half weeks open restaurant is cleanAnd bright. The professional chief is agreat asset to the longvallet cafe.The food is fresh and people are friendly and the price is good.

So disappointed. Have eaten here several times and it's never been great, but ok. Today we rode our bikes from Mesa to have breakfast. First off my coffee was cold which she replaced, albeit a little begrudgingly. All four of our meals came with hashbrowns, not sure they even hit the grill. My husbands sausage patty, you guessed it, COLD! One out off four was just ok, but ?even he couldn't eat the cold hashbrowns. And I've never heard of an upcharge for sourdough toast instead of white or wheat? Anyway, it was unanimous we wont go back. too bad, its a fun ride. After seeing the cook it was obvious why the food was less than par.

A little disappointed. Breakfast is always top notch. We tried dinner yesterday on our way to the Blueridge area. My wife loved her chicken fried steak. My medium sirloin was burnt.
